I don’t want to take John Doe to the shelter – no animal should be taken there unless it’s absolutely necessary. But we can’t keep him. Our other dog, Molly, is depressed and feels like John Doe is taking over our house – which is too small for us to have more than one little dog.
John Doe is a sweet dog. Lovable. And he’s getting much cuter now that his hair is growing back. I hope we can find him a good home soon. I am getting rather attached, and every day makes it harder to think of giving him up, but it is the right thing to do. We just have to find the right place.
The family who originally adopted John Doe discovered that he is not good with young children, and they have one on the way. There’s no way they could feel safe with John Doe in the house. I don’t blame them at all for wanting to give him back. It was heartbreaking for them, since they were already very attached to this little guy.
Poor John Doe. I hope we can find him a permanent home soon. He deserves a break since he’s been through so much.
