United Way fundraising campaign

This year’s United Way corporate fundraising campaign kicked off with a luncheon at the Jackie Dole Sherrill Community Center. The football theme was kinda fun, and I was surrounded by a group from Regions bank who were really in the spirit of things. Their enthusiasm was catchy, so I really had a great time at the luncheon.

A pep rally featuring Southern Miss cheerleaders and Seymour, the university mascot,  got everyone warmed up. We were front and center – leading the audience participation part of the cheers. Live United!

Our United Way chapter set a fundraising goal of $1.6 million, and was off to a great start with nearly $500,000 contributed by this year’s Pacesetters – companies that kicked off the campaign by holding fundraising events in advance of the campaign kickoff.

Woo hoo!!! Score!
