It was a lot of fun, and the beignets were warm and fluffy – and sweet. The black coffee helped cut the sugar and grease of the deep-fried treats.
Now that I’ve done it, I think I would do it again someday. It was nice to watch the many people flowing in and out of the place to enjoy their moment in history and a New Orleans tradition.
