Frenchmen Street

I think Frenchmen Street is a lot like what I think Bourbon Street should be. Lots of music. Lots of eclectic people of all ages. Lots of fun.

We wandered in and out of clubs for a few hours (oh  boy,  the after walking around the Quarter and business district all day!), and it reminded me of Haight Street in San Francisco.

A street band played on one corner as a crowd gathered around to watch and dance and play.

A little farther down was a group of guys typing away on the street. Interactive art. Poetry in motion. Lovely.

We stopped into a few clubs to listen to the bands play and it was great to dance and dance.
