New Orleans has some of the most fascinating architecture, and some of the most colorful shops and businesses.
One popular place for lunch or wine tastings is Bacchanal Wine Bar on the corner of Poland Avenue and Chartres Street.
Exotic wines and cheeses, an ever-changing menu and fun music (weather permitting), make Bacchanal a favorite place to visit when in the city.
The wine selection is some of the finest, so take home a bottle or two to enjoy with friends over a nice, home-cooked meal.
Side note: Don’t know where or how it got there, but on the sidewalk outside Bacchanal is a painting of a blue dog that got run over. This is a jab at the popular blue dog paintings by George Rodrigue that have taken over New Orleans.
