Super moon tonight!

So the moon is closer to the Earth than it has been since 1993. That means it will appear bigger today and the next couple of days (it was pretty huge last night, too).

The moon at its closest is called a perigee. At its farthest it is called an apogee. Well, that’s the simplified version anyway.

It was very beautiful to watch. Bright orange as it rose huge and high in the sky. The moon has a mesmerizing quality. Even though it is just a slowly moving dot in the sky, I can’t help but feel drawn to it.
